Is it safe for all skin types?

We assess your skin thoroughly and tailor the settings to guarantee both safety and effectiveness. Some skin types may need more cautious settings or pretreatment with skincare products. This treatment is not suitable for individuals with darker skin tones, as the risk of hypopigmentation outweighs the benefits of achieving smoother skin

How long before I can return to normal activities?

Most patients return to normal activities within five days. For the first three to five days, avoid heavy lifting and bending. We recommend using Vaseline, Aquaphor, or vinegar scrubs on the laser-treated areas, as the scabs typically fall off within a week. After this period, your skin may appear pink or red, similar to a sunburn. To prevent burning and dryness, we suggest applying moisturizer and sunscreen. At this stage, you can also use makeup or cover-up over the treated areas.

Is the treatment painful?

Experiencing some discomfort with CO2 lasers is common, particularly during deeper treatments. To reduce this discomfort, we always administer local anesthesia, either through lidocaine injections under the skin or as a nerve block. Additionally, we can offer sedation to enhance your comfort during the procedure. Afterward, you may feel mild pain, typically a burning sensation for the first 24 hours as your skin heals.
