Entry to St Paul’s at 13+

Entry to St Paul’s School is selective. Our admissions process is designed to identify boys who have a curiosity and flair for learning and who have interests beyond the curriculum.

We look at each boy’s potential, ensuring he will feel confident and happy in our exciting and fast paced environment.

Every year approximately 198 boys join St Paul鈥檚 School in Year 9. Almost half of these have previously attended St Paul’s Juniors, the other half come from a wide range of schools. For boys joining from other schools, the registration and selection process begins in Year 5.

We welcome applicants from state primary schools. You can apply for 11+ entry to join our prep school, St Paul’s Juniors, in Year 7 or you can follow our 13+ admissions process and join a prep school near you for Years 7 and 8.

Please note – Families of boys applying for assessment in Year 6 must choose either 11+ entry (Year 7) to St Paul鈥檚 Juniors or 13+ entry (Year 9) to St Paul’s School. You may not register for both.

Those candidates who are unsuccessful in the 13+ application process will not be considered for 11+ entry.

The application process for 13+ entry in 2026 has now closed. We will not be accepting any late applications.

The application process for 13+ entry in 2027 for boys born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 will open in January 2024 and聽 will close on Wednesday 18 September 2024.
